Microbiology- microbial genetics - oral microbiome - we have been studying a Gram-negative pathobiont - Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans and its relationship to modulation of host homeostasis and dysbiosis in relationship to oral and systemic diseases for the last 20 years with a recent focus on its influence on metabolic and transcriptomic status of the microbiome.
